19th International Conference “Maritime Transport & Infrastructure 2017”

The 19th International Conference “Maritime Transport & Infrastructure 2017” held by Latvian Maritime Academy (LMA) took place in April 20 – 21, 2017. It was attended by representatives from 13 countries – Albania, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Montenegro, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and Latvia. During two days of the conference, participants discussed various topics of maritime sector, such as safety, maritime environment pollution, international law, maritime education, port performance optimization and the use of a uniform electronic system in maritime sector. LMA students actively participated in the conference. An opening address was given by Andrejs Zvaigzne, LMA Acting Rector. LMA expresses its gratitute to the supporters of the Conference: Lloyd’s Register, Latvian Shipping Company, JSC “Riga Shipyard” and Swedbank, which hosted the Conference in its cozy premises.
